Omega Drilling- What’s New, in 2022.

As we begin the new year, we thought it would be a good time to take a look ahead at what’s in store for our valued clients and our staff.

First, Omega is pleased to announce that we will be introducing Traffic Management Services in February 2022! In line with our business model of providing experienced operators with updated equipment, our TMS coordinator Shannon VanderByl has over 20 years’ experience in the industry and will provide Traffic Management Plans utilizing top of the line software. You may note in our price list that a standard rate for this service will be utilized. No fuel surcharges, no additional add-on’s, just simplicity in billing. We are excited to begin this new venture and wish a warm welcome to Shannon! Please contact [email protected] for our current price list.

Second on the list, we have added another TerraSonic International® 150cc track mounted sonic drill due to its popularity amongst our clients to alleviate some of the backlog of work we have encountered in previous years. The 150cc is capable of drilling up to 800’ with sonic casing sizes of up to 12” (soil dependent) and can also perform conventional bedrock coring with a simple switch over of hydraulic lines. With its compact size and versatility, we feel this may be the only rig you will need on your next drill program! Call today for booking and availability.

We have also moved into a new office building. As we continue to grow, so too has our need for office space. Construction of our new building was completed in late 2021 and we are now in the process of making this our home base for all operations. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome our valued clients for an “open house” at our new location in Maple Ridge in the coming months. Stay tuned for details!

Finally on our list, we are continuing the Richard Charles Reid Scholarship in conjunction with the BC Ground Water Association. This initiative was created to help train new drillers in the geotechnical and environmental industry. Rick was always someone who cared about the advancement of his peers and would always share his vast knowledge to those who sought it. We will forever miss our friend but this ensures his memory lives on beyond his close family and friends. You can find more information in the link below.
